For most women today we spend a third of our life in
menopause and post menopause. So what is menopause? When does
menopause begin and end? What are the symptoms? What treatments are
effective? Hormone replacement therapy - synthetic or natural? Etc.
These are all questions facing the 40 million women of the "Baby

Many women discover that menopause gives
them a new lease on life: physically, emotionally, sexually and
spiritually, free from concerns of pregnancy and menstruation.
However, some women dread menopause feeling it is the end of their
life, the time of their life when they lose their youth and fertility
and become unattractive, lonely, helpless and useless.
As women we could gladly welcome this time of our life with
excitement, but for all too many women the menopause symptoms that
typically follow - hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, fatigue,
foggy thinking, weight gain, insomnia - often bring nothing but
physical and emotional stress.
As a "Baby Boomer" approaching this unique time in my life, I felt a
sense of dread. I had heard that I could expect my experience to be
the same as my mother's. I had watched my mother suffer for years with
unbearable hot flashes and mood swings.
But fortunately for me I had access to information about how to
navigate menopause in a natural and healthy way so that I did not have
to suffer the way my mother did.
